Application Procedure — Step by Step
1
Apply Online via UGC

Applications for university admission will be invited by the UGC through press notices. Candidates must submit their applications online following the instructions in the Student Handbook.

Online application is compulsory — no paper applications accepted.
2
Send Printed Form & Documents by Registered Post

Each applicant must send the printed online application form along with all relevant documents by registered post to reach the UGC before the specified deadline. Failure to include required certificates may result in rejection.

3
Get Your Form Certified / Attested

School candidates: The printed form must be certified by the Principal of the school from which you sat the G.C.E. (A/L) Examination.

Private candidates: The form must be attested by a Commissioner for Oaths or Justice of Peace.

4
Accept Offer & Pay Registration Fee

Successful candidates will be informed of their course and university by the UGC. If you accept the offer, pay the registration fee of Rs. 50/= to the bank or online in credit of the University Grants Commission, then register online via the official UGC website before the given deadline.

5
Send Online Registration Form by Registered Post

After online registration, send the duly signed printed registration form (Online Payment Receipt) along with evidence of bank payment (Paying-in-voucher if applicable) by registered post to reach the UGC.

Anti-Ragging Declaration

At the end of online registration, download and print the "Anti-Ragging Declaration made by the student" on A4 paper (both sides). It is compulsory to submit this duly filled and signed declaration to the university at the time of enrollment. Do not send this Declaration to the UGC through post.
